Wheel Alignment
Is your car pulling to one side? Have you noticed that your tyres are getting worn excessively, or unevenly? Does the steering wheel vibrate when you drive ? Did you have to constantly keep steering your car to travel straight ahead ? These are some of the symptoms that are noticeable when your car is out of alignment or not balanced properly.
A wheel alignment & wheel balance is one of the key maintenance factors in getting the most performance and wear from your tyres. In addition, wheel alignment provides a safe, smooth and comfortable ride which is free of pulling or vibration, and improved mileage. Modern suspensions require a precise four-wheel alignment that can only be achieved through a modern up to date alignment system. This applies to both front and rear wheel drive vehicles.
Here at Moorooka Hyundai we are equipped with the very latest wheel alignment & wheel balancing devices and are able to perform these service for you on all cars or with your next service.
To find out more information about these services and cost, please speak with any of our friendly service advisors on (07) 3373 1840.
Why inflate your tyres with Nitrogen?
Nitrogen is completely safe. It is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, and non-toxic gas that forms about 78% of the Earth’s atmosphere. Some of the benefits claimed for using nitrogen over compressed air for inflating tyres are :
- Improves the ride quality
- Increases tyre life
- Keeps tyre pressures more constant
- Reduces the tyre’s running temperature
- Slows the rate of pressure loss
- Doesn’t react with the tyre and rim materials
Oxygen leaks out of tires faster. Nitrogen maintains tire pressure longer than oxygen. The oxygen molecules in compressed air are smaller and leak out three to four times faster.

We at Moorooka Hyundai also offer the option of filling up your tyres with Nitrogen. It is less resistant to heating and when it heats, it will expand uniformly, unlike air which when heated, its individual constituents expand as per their properties. A Nitrogen tyre gives a smoother ride, better economy, uniform tread, better handling especially at high speeds and less tyre failure by maintaining lower temperatures and only minor pressure fluctuations from cold to hot. It is also ideal for both car trailers and caravans. As a website special if you are interested we can offer a change over to Nitrogen for just $10 a tyre. Please speak to our service advisors for more information on (07) 3373 1840.

Roadworthy Certificate
In Queensland, the official title of a road worthy certificate for a vehicle up to 4500 kg GVM is a ‘Safety Certificate’.
A safety certificate is issued after a vehicle passes an minimum safety standard inspection. A safety certificate covers basic things that could affect the safe operation of the vehicle, such as:
- Tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, body rust or damage, windscreen, lights
The safety certificate offers buyers better protection and makes sure vehicles being offered for disposal or being re-registered are safe – reducing the likelihood of crashes caused by defective vehicles.
Here at Moorooka Hyundai we are an Approved Inspection Station, meaning that we can supply you with a road worthy (safety Certificate) for any of the following reasons:
- If you have moved a vehicle to QLD from another state
- If you have registered an unregistered vehicle in QLD
- If you are selling a registered second hand Hyundai vehicle in QLD
We are committed to road safety meaning that we will never turn a blind eye to an un-roadworthy fault. If you find a Safety Certificate signed by us you can be certain that car is road worthy. A Safety Certificate remains valid for 3 months or 1,000 kms through a licensed Motor Dealer.
